Like Lightning tells the story of an indie love triangle that sizzles with sexual tension. Beneath the dynamic plot, the film explores the nature of lasting relationships. Each of the three main characters represents a different viewpoint, and as their story plays out during a weekend sailing adventure to Santa Cruz Island, we see how these perspectives interact with each other and are ultimately resolved.
